All the talk of rich people got me started thinking about something. I thought I would get you guys' opinions on what you would do in a certain situation. OK, here's the situation...

In two weeks you are guaranteed to receive $500 million (after taxes). All you have to do is be alive. However, you have no money (just enough to barely survive at your house with the absolute basics), right now, and you have no way of proving the money will be yours. The question is, what do you do for two weeks?

That's it...how do you spend the two weeks?

If I understand the question right,, all I can do is wait, and take things as usual, day by day. Until I receive the money.

Me I would start planning to have my own V8 racing team with Craig Lowndes as primary driver so that he doesn't stack any more Razorback Railway Racing ... otherwise it would be planning changes at Auran after I bought them and well just keep coding stuff.

Oh yeah a cask of Hanwood.

Hey FS. This is reminiscent of the Richard Pryor/John Candy movie 'Brewster's Millions'. Richard Pryor is a down and out, flat broke baseball player who inherits a fortune, with one catch. In order to gain the major inheritance of $300 million he must spend every penny of $30 million is just 30 days. He is not allowed to gain any new assets, he must get value from anyone he hires, he cannot giveaway any money, he may donate only 5% to charity and cannot lose any more than 5% gambling.

It's an interesting concept and a LOT more difficult to get rid of the money than one would think. :)

Live long and prosper Jenolan...

I wasn't familiar with Lowndes until now, but Googling and looking at the cars, there is alot of potential in that kind of racing around the world. Here in Atlanta, GA US, we have a can am track called Road Atlanta. They race all kinds of classes there. I am sure Europe has many grand tracks around the countryside of this style. That style of racing kind of takes me back to the days of 50s and 60s racing that showed up in the movies sometimes. It's great to watch. Who knows? Maybe there'll be a world-wide version of what you guys are getting in Australia there. I guess I could see divisions leading to a playoff series for a championship or something. it's fun to watch...

Auran...well, if it's the train thing... :good: . Jonno had a cool video of a massive train/city set set up somewhere in a museum in Germany. It was massive. Ah, here it is in case you didn't see it before Jenolan:

Jim LOL...I didn't see it. Make a point to look it up. How to spend $30 and get nothing in return. What a concept... I guess only Pryor could have been in that movie...Of course, Candy's no stretch for that kind of situation himself...

Pryor was good paired with Gene Wilder...Stir Crazy was crazy as hell...

Hey, it would be fun to try, that's all can say on how hard it would be. Yep, I'll do it...count me in...that's my response to that offer...

There's alot of things I want and need FS. I think the first thing I would really plan on is setting something up to help my parents, mom is 78, and dad is 83 yrs. old. Then the rest is mine. And I would have a longgggggg list, LOL.

Another great film, Brewster's Millions, definitely worth watching that one ... as for the question at hand, I guess there's not really much we could do until we had the dosh ... I'm with Bala though, whatever I found in the drinks cupboard would be well and truly hammered - not least because I'd be thinking of the many many hours my other half would probably have me out to the shops buying things!!
