Hi,
I'm in Kentucky and use both Apple and pc. I like photography a lot. I'm interested in photo software. I have a power pc that is not intel based so some newer programs won't work. And, I use a Sony Vaio pc and wireless card.

Hello George,
I use Photofiltre and Sagelight. PF is available as a freeware "limited" version but Sagelight is a paid version (though modestly priced). Depending on your image manipulation skills you may like Photoscape or Paintnet or Gimp. Image handling programs vary a lot in ease of use, according to me anyway, so before downloading too many may I suggest that you first install one of the uninstaller programs from FreewareBB then you can get rid of any program that fails to impress or has a GUI that doesn't suit you.
Oh, one more thing...welcome

Thanks for the ideas. I'm wondering, I have a Mac G5 2.0 that is the pre Intel based processor and some of the browser, software uses are now beyond that model. A new download states not compatible with my architecture so I cannot install those applications. I used Spotify for months on my G5 and then had a problem and needed to reload the application and the older application was not available. Is there a software data bank that I can get the older versions? I'm wondering, I know I may need to upgrade computers one day but am not ready yet. Any ideas? Thanks, George.

Hello George,
This is one site which specifically supports legacy versions for Windows...http://www.oldapps.com/
This site also has pages devoted to old versions for Mac OS which may have items of interest to you. Some developer's sites also maintain older versions to enable users to roll-back in the event of bugs appearing with the updates; I think that Sourceforge often has access to several generations of it's software (I'm relying on memory here so I may be mistaken) but I don't know if any of their code is for Mac.
regards
