Hey guys...you made it this far, now you must pass the supreme test and answer the question. What is your favorite freeware of them all? This isn't about the most helpful, although I guess it could be that. It's just about he one you like the best...
I guess I have to go first, so I'll go with...............Rainmeter (Omnimo theme)

I have a 4-way at the moment. Ccleaner because it never lets me down,,,,CleanMem because I forget I even have it. 3DTop because it's great fun to have,,and Combofix which has saved my PCs numerous times, the best of its kind. That's it for now because I really don't keep too many things for long. Ccleaner, CleanMem and 3DTop stay on, but Combofix needs to be downloaded when you need it because it is constantly being updated.

I'd struggle to answer this, I use a handful of freeware which I couldn't manage without, some based on being able to work with the site, some the normal stuff on the desktop, but I guess out of all the favourites I'd still probably have to say it's between the security software like avast or SAS, MBAM ... who knows where we would be without them - probably a little less well off for a start

A difficult situation marko.....horses for courses.........in the first preference folder for relative requirement and use, I open the below programmes to perform my requirements....................
Irfanview the ultimate in Centre Stage pics viewing.
Karens Power Tool ..Clear Clipboard .....zap.....clear clipboard..... one click on black box in taskbar, a cut & paste quickie.
QDir to be a real Explorer when hunting in Windows.
Geek Uninstaller to zap a programme with a few clicks.
Paint.Net for easy pics editing.
Gimp for more in-depth pics editing....with a finger tool to make extra adjustments, and chopping and pasting close to Photoshop ability.
Evernote, to remind my beloved what day it is.
DropBox, to put the info. in front of her , when she Turns On........her laptop..................Now Now......not like that !!
Pale Moon, an edge on the Iron Man, mit der Deutsche sprechen und ads in yer face.
MailWasher from Firetrust, free for one email address...........a great way to fight spam and see what is on the server to save on download charges and delete suspicious email.
Log-Me-In to serve those who need assistance.
Pic-Pick Screen capture, especially when a pic has been barred from downloading/copying/pasting.
Skype, to talk to the world for no cost.
PhotoBucket to upload pics etc, and link them to post....'somewhere'.
TinySpell to put a teensy correct spelling next to the typing if one is unsure and avoids 'mess-up' spelling
StartMenu7 or X to improve and simplify the Microsoft Start Menu.
TinyUpload.com, a file hosting programme to keep files for """family/friends""" to access.
PhoneTransPro.......tied to iTunes..........and PAY the piper........>>>>> Duh ! (missing many artists/songs from way back when!!!)
Xirrus Wi-Fi Inspector,(with radar)who is lurking?
JD's Auto Speed Tester.........check Up/Download/ Ping/Packet etc......as required.
Each programme is used regularly and is my favourite in their own category.

Hey, Claw...you know what I always say...every PC should say "ComboFix Inside"....not that other thing...
Jon...you have done it
...that's what I'm talking about...let's just call it a tie...I could have a very long list too I think. I will say my runner up is Rocket Dock. I go for the ones that put things in the right place on the screen/desktop...
marko...you help people for a living with their PCs. I can sure see how those security/repair programs would be very important to you....
Good answers all.

Seriously, Claw, I was JK about Intel. I'm pretty much the biggest fan on earth of Intel. I just think that ComboFix has to be one of the funniest inventions ever.
I used to stop by some of the help/support forums (got some help too...that's what started it), and I'd read the threads and sometimes follow along. I even saved the html of one thread of this guy because I absolutely could not believe what was happening to his machine. It was literally melting right before his eyes. He had to remove the HD...hook it up to another computer,...and all kinds of other things to try to save his data. It was like 7 or 8 pages, and the tech finally saved his bacon. Of course, the last step is.....you got it ComboFix...
It's like Defcom 1 when it's time for ComboFix.
I've had to run it a couple of times back in the early mid-2000s, and I've always wondered what's in it. I guess it's a pretty big secret. Very cool program...

It's scary for sure FS, but it bailed(ha) my but out of PC meltdown a few times. I just used it on my wifes PC, Mbam caught 4, SAS, caught,4, Combofix deleted and replaced 6 files that were all infected, she runs like new now.

There are too many too choose from but after much thought I would have to say "Free File Sync". I use it at least once a week to sync my hard drives and so I don't lose any important stuff.
