I can't take credit for that poem guys, it was actually written by Ella Wheeler Wilcox :)

Went looking for a new year's limerick to add to Marko's treasury, but I couldn't find a suitable one, so I decided to come up with one one on the spur of the moment:

I'll call this one Limerick of the sparrow:

There once was one straight as an arrow,
Whose flight was to match its width narrow.
But alas on its path,
Came the year of good wrath,
...And a new year of cut to the marrow
