It may, however there are too many variables between systems so the general consensus from reading elsewhere in this forum is not to do so.
  In my case   1       I run MSE , .
2    Scan every download with Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware,
3   Clean at least daily with CCleaner ( the teenage kids are now in the habit of cleaning after they finish on Face Book)
4    and occasional scan with Superantispyware
also you soon learn to recognize the high risk sites , learn what processes should be running - google any unknown processes to check-
and leave registry cleaners and drive wipers out because they can cause a lot of problems - leave for the tech heads.

Hey Claw - SpywareBlaster is another which was designed specifically with Internet Explorer in mind. Yes, it can be a useful addition for those who primarily use IE for browsing but for anyone else, including Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Opera users, it offers very little in the way of any extra protection.

As for Emsisoft Anti-Malware: If you are talking about the free version then yes, it should be fine with MSE. The free version does not include any real time protection so nothing is actually running, consequently the chance of it conflicting with MSE, or any other security software, is practically zero. In that respect, it's no different to the free versions of MBAM and SAS.

HTH,
Cheers mate...Jim
