Just like you, I use a big gamma of media pleyers, but most of the time (never for DVDs), Windows Media Player does the trick. VLC is one of my favorites. Sorry people, for DVD playback I use Corel WinDVD Pro 11,... I know it is not free, but I think is the best for this.

FutureShock I think you should update your RealPlayer to v.15.

Apok...I had to think about your reply on this one.  I tried the newer RealPlayer, but I wasn't impressed.  The one I have is simple, but it has the features I like the most.  The video trimming features on 15 are neat, but I don't trim very many (very rarely would I ever use the feature).  I would say I like best the internet browser of RealPlayer 11.  I don't use it for heavy browsing, just for specific things like music videos, videos, news, etc.  I love using the browser and media player at the same time.  11 is just a fun program for me, I guess is all there is to it...

I love InterVideo WinDVD for playing DVDs.  It is a very classy player.  I think I paid $29.95 for it, but it is well worth the money to me...

Nothing wrong with WMP Claw, in fact it is an excellent player. One problem though; WMP does not support a wide range of codecs, which means that extra codecs often need to be installed. Players such as VLC already include a huge range of codecs built-in so will play just about any video format right out of the box. :)

I always considered MPC to look extremely outdated, but for me I simply want a media player to do one job, play media - I don't want any of the bells and whistles associated with other media players, I just want to double click a movie files and watch it, that's why I voted MPC :)
