My wife actually hung up on a telesales person three times, and three times they rang back, each time they would say exactly the same thing over and over without faltering one bit - eventually she just stopped answering!.   Play them at their own game, I'm telling you guys, it actually works - it's better than hanging up on them or screaming abuse down the phone - just answer their questions with a whole load of mince ...

"your name sir" ... "Mr Duck"
"hello Mr Duck, my name is $@#+#%&*, may I ask your first name"?
"yes, certainly, it's Donald"
"May I call you Donald sir"?
"You most certainly can my good friend"
"OK, thank you Donald ... I am calling today regarding a survey which we are conducting, it shall only take a few minutes of your time ... blah blah blah"
"OK, Donald, can I ask which electricity supplier do you use"?
"Yes, of course, is North Highland, East Coast Power Company"
......... pause ..........
"I'm sorry sir, could you repeat that please"?
"Yes, it's North Highland, East Coast Power Company"
........pause ........
"OK, and which gas supplier do you use please"?
"It's South Highland, West Coast Power Company"
....... pause ...........
"And which telephone provider do you use sir"?
"Scottish Haggis telecommunications of the North East Corporation"
........ dial tone ...........

A stroke of genius Marko,I will be trying that !!!! Of course ,,sometimes I kind of enjoy shouting profanities down the phone, sorta gets the blood flowing,,ya know!!!!

My large family was at the dinner table when a telemarketer had the misfortune of calling our house. My brother answered the phone, listened to the whole pitch about aluminum siding, asked probing questions, then finally said, "Well, I won't be needing siding myself, but my brother might be interested. Can I put him on the phone?" Of course, she said yes. The second brother did the same and passed it to the third brother. She gave the whole pitch three times before she hung up on us.

There's another idea I can use ,,thanks,,between Marko and Alpha,,my mind may stay filthy but my mouth will be clean !!!!
