I don't have a problem with the site performance. I use different browsers - Firefox, Opera and Google. With all the extensions, add-ons, etc., which tend to slow down my browsers, it makes it difficult to tell if the slight delay is the site or browser. I highly suspect the browsers as the sites I tend to visit don't have any better response time. Download performance seems quite reasonable - I use Time-Warner Roadrunner (6MB).

The site loads very slowly, it took 3 minutes to load. Some of the pictures or icons don't show.

Yes the penguins back!
If it helps the size of the icons on opening are 12KB compared to Google news 1.4 KB (200x200 v 80x80) which appear slightly
larger and as clear on screen- but as you said it is probably the programs default settings that determines the size and thus download speed.

I liked the avatar by the log-on name, it is now missing.
I have had no problems with accessing the site with IE8 and Firefox 6.
I like the new changes. It is simplistic in it's looks and I find it easier on the eyes.
Thanks for the changes!!!

Marko - There seems to be a problem in the messaging system when inserting a hyperlink. I was replying to a PM and attempting to insert a hyperlink. All went as expected; the little hyperlink dialogue box opened up and I pasted in the URL but when I clicked on OK, the whole thing just froze permanently and I couldn't navigate around the site at all. I had to hit the back button in FF to get it responding again....and, of course, start all over again.
I ended up just copying and pasting the link in full.
Just tried adding a hyperlink in this message here and the exact same thing happened, so it could be pretty universal.
Cheers.....Jim

Hmm, works for me by the looks of it, I'll PM you with another link see if that works
