FreewareBB has just been upgraded and as always, we're here for the members to explain anything you're not sure about.   Just post your query below and we'll hopefully be able to help solve any issues you may be having using the upgraded site , and we will be editing the site over the coming days to include the links and features you've came to know and love.

Of course, feel free to comment on how lovely and fresh it looks as well :mocking: :nea:
Cheers

Upgrade? What upgrade? Has Rupert Murdoch bought Freewarebb?
This downgrade is simply awful, impossible to navigate, loss of obvious buttons such as 'latest downloads' or 'latest comments.'
Marko, please bring back a website that's user-friendly.

Ok, because of the process within the upgrade we've not been able fo retain a copy of all the changes we made on the previous skin, I've included the bits and pieces that I could remember myself but if there is anything else obvious to anyone that was there before but isn't now, please reply here and I'll get straight onto it :mocking:

I'm still undecided whether we should have a custom skin made, but that's possibly for another topic.

Marko - The secondary Subject/Title box is no longer available when compiling a new topic.

It's certainly no biggee and you may have actually done away with it on purpose.

I did find it handy though because it helped categorise a topic's content better.

e.g. How To: Access Windows Memory Diagnostics tool Windows 7 Tips & Tricks

Yep, this was replaced in the upgrade Jim by "Topic Tags", the idea being that if you entered something like "windows 7 tips & tricks" then this would create a tag called the same.   The good thing about this is it can then list those tags on the forum front page (http://www.freewarebb.com/index) under "Popular Tags" so anyone pressing that tag would automatically see a list of all the topics with that tag attached to it.   You can create more than one tag for a post by using the comma character so you could even type "windows 7, tips & tricks" which would create 2 tags of "windows 7" and "tips & tricks" doubling the chances of people seeing your post's (or at least that's the idea anyway)!.
Cheers mate

Yes, I saw and understood that mate (the tag box) BUT it isn't displayed as part of the actual thread title. So people looking through the forum can't see that extra description of what the topic is about.

Oh well, no biggee!!
