GSplit can split up large files for distribution and contains a variety of options. An optional file joining wizard can be distributed with the split pieces.
GSplit is a freeware file splitting/joining application for Windows, useful for splitting files for distribution via electronic mail, instant messaging, portable media such as CDs and DVDs, or other means. The software supports the creation of disk spanned pieces, or you can create block pieces with a pre-determined size.
GSplit can add "Self-Uniting Functionality" to the spanned set, creating an executable that acts as a wizard in uniting the pieces together. This way you do not have to include GSplit with the re-united pieces, just a much smaller distributable executable. However, GSplit itself (via the GUnite tool) can re-unite pieces without the wizard....
