FeedReader is a popular RSS reader with a multitude of configuration options and optional integration with Google Reader.

FeedDemon is a popular freeware RSS reader for Windows that supports synchronizing of subscriptions among multiple computers via Google Reader. The software comes built-in with sample feeds; new feeds can be added manually, imported from an OPML file, or from an external source such as Bloglines or RSS Bandit.

Feeds may be organized into categories. News items may be viewed as full posts, summaries, or headlines. You can also change the theme of the news item "newspaper" with options such as Blue Vista or Outland.
