marko, this may be a little off topic but I was thinking the other day and wondered if it would maybe be worth offering members the chance to move up to another group, such as one which doesn't moderate them or one which doesn't show ads.   From my experience, showing ads to members doesn't actually do any good anyway as they become "blind" to them and merely navigate their way around them ..

The idea would obviously to create a nicer environment for regular members and we all know most need a little encouragement to post, but offering them a different group if they make something like 10 post's may be a step in the right direction to reward those guys who do post and contribute to the site, what do you think?

I think it's a great idea ablaze, I had been thinking of removing moderation for members although recently we did have a few people sign up for member accounts and actually validate them through real email addresses then attempt to post spam on the site, so I decided against removing the moderation although I can certainly create another group on the site and have members promoted to this group after they make a certain number of post's so I will definately look into this, thanks for the suggestion and it's something I will definately be looking into!

OK, members can now move up to the un-moderated group "advanced members" after 10 approved post's.   This means you WILL NOT require pre-approval on post's made anywhere on the forum but please be aware we still receive notification whenever a new post is made and our response times are currently is quicker than a rat up a drain pipe, so chances are if a spammer does have the perseverance to make 10 useful post's they'll be banned on their 11th
