The Macaw music software is a program that implements a clip based MIDI sequencer, which drives a bunch of built in plugins, MIDI devices and VST plugins. It has a soundfont loader and wave editor.
The program is at a very mature stage and works fine for composing music and live playback of samples and plugins. The plugins and sampler and MIDI tracks can be played using the PC keyboard, or a MIDI keyboard or other MIDI controller.

- Import MP3, Ogg, AIFF, Voc, WAV etc...
- Export whole song to MP3, OGG or make samples per key or split to the soundfont editor.

- Added groove control to "groove" the timing of the Macaw sequencer.
- Added some buttons for picking random presets of the disk for all the main Macaw Plugins.

Yep, one I missed there Jimbo, strange that a free web host service would choose to operate in such a manner, but it takes alsorts I guess 
I don't know other link for download this software. As far as i know it is at google code and I don't think google code has rated "unsafe ". i don't have problem from my anti-virus. Maybe it is an old download link or something ( I don't know ). I'm using it and it is a good program. It is a midi sequencer with a lot of future ( like LMMS )
Developer has obviously cleaned up, no longer rated negatively by the site advisory services, re-instating support for this download.
