WHY do programmers insist on lumping their horrible themes with their (especially video) applications? QMC seems to be comprehensive, and the preview window is a good idea - but it has possibly the worst graphic theme I have ever seen on a Windows app. Why does it have a pointless zoom animation on start and exit, for example? To show how clever the author is? That's not what it says to me. No rollover hints on the weird icons, the language file isn't complete, if you try to change the language it crashes... no, sorry. I might try it again when they do what they're best at - programming - and leave the GUI design to people who know what they're doing.

I thought I'd leave this installed to compare with Format Factory - but it's just too ugly.

May not be the fastest but for a freeware this is a must have.
Beta has a 60 day timeout. Stable is free for life.
ask tool bar bundled but NOT necessary for install.

Unable to install without clicking one of the ASK options- is this just my problem ?
Did not install because of this, so will continue to use Media Cope as to convert WMA
to MP3.

Yes, however the 3 options (one must be selected to proceed) each involve a ASK component 1.ASK toolbar 2.ASK default search 3.ASK Homepage.
After your reply I went back to the installation knowing I can delete the toolbar later only to have the program installed in french ( and french the 2nd time to confirm)/beta only!

jjj, not sure how you're experiencing these issues, but I can definitely proceed with the install without having any of the 3 options ticked.
