When we last updated Metro 7 we scanned it using VirusTotal and checked the developers site was not listed negatively with any of the reputable site advisory sites such as WOT or SiteAdvisor. We pride ourselves on safe downloads from honest and trustworthy developersDownloaded this and unchecked Claro Toolbar and Babylon Object, and they installed anyway.
Sorry to hear about this Claw. I installed this about a month ago...no instance of Clara, but I do recall noticing an instance of Babylon showing up in add/remove a couple of weeks ago. At the time I remember asking myself where it had come from. Never occurred to me it could be this program, since I had unchecked the boxes as you did. I installed quite some number of programs during those two weeks looking over 8 knock offs and others. Thanks for the warning...
The trickery there was you unticked the boxes, but accepted the license agreement - you should have "declined" the last license agreement - easy mistake to make and just yet another form of trickery from developers these days.

If you use Rainmeter, the Omnimo theme is worth a look for Windows 8 spin offs. It's the most sophisticated Rainmeter theme I have seen by far with many unexpected features and lots of widgets already...even one for making tiles! Of the two Omnimo is pretty far ahead as things stand...
