JD Notes is a very simple software that allows users to write text documents with advanced formatting. The software can produce files compatible with all rich text enabled editors, in fact users can select the file format while saving.

Jecko Development created also a default file format for JD Notes, called JDN, with ending ".jdn", with a specific icon file.

JD Notes is now another "milestone" in the story of the product, because it can now work with the Rich Text Format, it can save and open file in RTF file format and in the new JDN (JD Notes Document) file format, that can now contain information about text-formatting. The new version of JD Notes allow user to select font, dimensions and styles, like bold, italic and underlined.
